Reports has it that the designer is to relaunch one of the most iconic couturiers of all time.
Last year's Met Gala theme paid homage to one of fashion's greatest
couturiers of all time, Charles James, and now the iconic fashion house
is set to make a major comeback. After purchasing the Charles James
label last year, Harvey Weinstein has reportedly now enlisted Zac Posen
to help revitalize the brand, according to Page Six.
Posen will join Georgina Chapman (Weinstein's wife and co-founder of
Marchesa) to spearhead the relaunch of the couturier's label and will
continue work on his own eponymous brand. Marchesa co-founder Keren
Craig and Marchesa CEO Edward Chapman will also play key parts in the
Charles James brand. Like James, Posen is known to embrace over-the-top
glamour in swoon-worthy ball gowns, making him a natural choice to helm
the reigns of the label's comeback.
